From there I went to Walla Walla College, overseas to Nigeria, and back home. The area missionary outreach was excellent. At that time it was considered unimportant to have degrees or certificates, or diplomas. I took the full medical course they offered doing lab work, massage training, and nurses training. I have four grown children with families, and they have heard the references often, they also are SDA’s. I have often referred to my experience at Wildwood. Elder Frazee anointed her and within the hour after the anointing she was totally well! Many miracles took place there. I recall a student becoming very seriously ill from a pimple she’d picked on her lip and it got infected and she was on death’s door and it was considerd life threatening, and a couple hours was what was given her to live. He was a man of God who had power with God. I personally had Elder Frazee give me great cousel. I was also a student at Wildwood when it was only 10 years old. Science and religion blend in teaching that the laws of nature are the laws of God. ![]() Through the agencies of nature and sunlight, pure air and water, a balanced diet, exercise and rest, the Creator’s life is imparted to restore the sick and to maintain health. Inspiring these activities is a philosophy of confidence in the Creator as the source of life not only “in the beginning” but day by day. Five-day Plans to quit Smoking, Weight Control Clinics, Cooking Classes and Stress Control Seminars are examples. This includes daily lectures and classes in the Institution and a broad program for community health throughout the area. While offering general medical and surgical services, it gives special emphasis to preventive medicine and health education. A unique feature is the fact that it was built with private gifts, without any Government funds or church subsidies. In 1971 a modern hospital building was dedicated to the service of God and humanity. The Wildwood staff believe this has been in answer to prayer. Many times essential funds have been supplied “in the nick of time” by interested friends. The various buildings needed in the care of patients and the training of students have been erected by the teachers and students working together. ![]() Frazee led in the establishment of Wildwood Sanitarium and Medical Missionary Institute.
